I know that we are all familiar with the later incarnation of The Evil Mr MacMahon character that graced our screens after Vince screwed Bret out of the WWF/E Title at the famous Survivor Series of 1997. Yet This is not the first time that Vince has adopted that role. USWA better known as Memphis Wrestling was one of the last territories that ran before the complete dominance of WWF and WCW. Vince set up a process of talent exchange, much like he did with ECW years later.
This would allow Vince to take advantage of up and coming stars in USWA and at the same USWA could get WWF talent to bolster their show. The Bret Hart and Jerry Lawler feud continued with the face dynamics changed and Jerry the Super Face.
It was during this time that Vince first got to be an Evil Heel, something he would not be able to over in the WWF at that time
